Elon Musk, along with many other great minds, think we are living in a simulation created by an advanced civilization and that there is a 1 in a billion chance we are actually in base reality. Musk's main argument for this is how far we have came in video games in just the passed 40 years. Back then, we only had pong and now just a short time later, we can play with people all over the world in photorealistic games. We are already starting to develop virtual reality games and in a short time Elon believes we will not be able to distinguish between games and reality. But, while many may think that is is terrible, Elon thinks we better hope we are in a computer simulation because humans aren't expected to live that much farther in the future, making this the best reality to live in.

Hi Lucas! Given the fact that every human being you pass on the street has their head down and hunched over their technology, Im not finding it so hard to believe that we are in a "simulation created by an advanced civilization", as Musk stated. We are all very entranced in the world of social media and games, that its impossible to believe that humans are living reality.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to start with WOW!! Never really thought about living in a simulation. If that is the case we have a lot more power than what we should, not saying its impossible to believe but I feel like its a pretty definite reality with so much random things that can happen in the world and what we can control
