Race for AI will be the cause of WW3

With technology advancing, Elon Musk is worried that if there aren't laws and restrictions placed on artificial intelligence that it would likely cause World World 3. He tweeted this in response to Vladimir Putin, who said that the first to become the leader in A.I. would rule the world. Elon wrote a letter to the leading robotic engineers and the UN asking for a ban on killer robots. He believes that AI could be more of a threat to the world than a nuclear war with North Korea, mainly on the fact that it wouldn't be country's leaders who decide to go to war. It would be the A.I.'s who could declare war if it believes that it is the best probability for success.

Google has began developing an A.I. where the objective is to gather as many apples as possible. They were given lasers and when the number of apple began to get lower, they would become highly aggressive to ensure it gathered the most. This may seem like no big deal as these are just dots on a computer, but as technology continues, we may lose control before we even know what we are dealing with.

The Boring Company.

While Elon Musk was once sitting in LA traffic thinking to himself how much better it would be if there were a way to drive under the traffic. So, as the go getter Elon is, he bought a boring machine and started digging. Elon Musk believes the future of driving is either tunnels or flying cars and tunnels are weather proof and able to provide multiple levels of roads. Another deciding factor between the two would be that the way people take care of their cars now, there would most likely be hub cabs and other car parts falling on heads below.

But, Elon first had a big challenge of reducing the cost of digging a tunnel by 10 fold. He did this by designing an electric skate for the cars to be transported on. This reduces the tunnel diameter from 28 ft to about 14 ft.
So, Hopefully in the near future we can avoid traffic like the video below.

Are we living in a simulation?

Elon Musk, along with many other great minds, think we are living in a simulation created by an advanced civilization and that there is a 1 in a billion chance we are actually in base reality. Musk's main argument for this is how far we have came in video games in just the passed 40 years. Back then, we only had pong and now just a short time later, we can play with people all over the world in photorealistic games. We are already starting to develop virtual reality games and in a short time Elon believes we will not be able to distinguish between games and reality. But, while many may think that is is terrible, Elon thinks we better hope we are in a computer simulation because humans aren't expected to live that much farther in the future, making this the best reality to live in.

You may be able to go to Mars in your lifetime!

You may think Musk is some sort of super smart scientist and while he is one of the smartest people of this era, he is more of a business guy. He had no previous knowledge of rocket science when he decided to create SpaceX and did it just because he could and could see that there would be a extremely profitable new market because NASA was finally allowing space exploration available to private companies and decided to create the space company.

He made headlines in 2010 when SpaceX became the first private company to launch a rocket into space and have it return and land on Earth. This is a massive advancement in space exploration as only the US and Russia have done before. This will make space travel will become extremely cheaper  because they can reuse the rockets.

If you thought that this means they are way closer to getting to Mars, then you'd be right. Although all shuttles launched so weren't manned, both SpaceX and Boeing are both planning to begin manned launches by the end of the year. You may not have to wait very much longer to get a flight to Space if you are interest in doing so!

Keeping track of a few of Elon Musk's crazy ventures and theories!

Hi everybody! My name is Lucas and I'm from Salina, Kansas! I spend most of my time at work or on walks with my dog. But, when I do get some free time my favorite thing to do is read and watch videos, with not only his multiple companies, but also some of his incredible theories. Whether it's trying to send people to Mars, thinking that we most likely are living in a simulation, or trying to get rid of gas using vehicles, it's hard to keep up what he's up too! So, welcome to your one place stop for all things Elon, I hope you enjoy!
